Micro Drone Racing

Calling all owners of micro-drones!  The library at closing time on Wednesday, July 25.   You can practice your flying skills by navigating a timed course that runs through, around, and over the stacks.  We promise it will be as much fun as you can have in the library after hours without a book!

Bring your Tiny Whoop or micro drone (with prop guards) to the library for after-hours FPV racing and obstacle course.


Native Plant Presentation

Learn from an expert about planting native plants and how to incorporate them into your landscape.

 

Following the presentation, there will be a sale of Native Plants in the side parking lot of the library. Plants that have been pre-ordered may be picked up at this time.

Basic Computer Class

April 3, 10, 17, 24, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. You will learn basic skills such as  how to log on and off a computer, create an email, how to use a mouse, how to attach a photo to a document, how to save material to a thumb drive/USB, and how to create a word document. Come with questions!

Knit N Yarn
Thank you to the Heart of Cook for their generous donation to support Knit N Yarn group projects.
 
This group does these projects because of a desire to give someone 'knitted love'. The group welcomes anyone who does needle crafts of any kind. It doesn't matter your level of expertise, beginner or master or no experience at all, the members would be happy to welcome you. So come join the gals for some knitting or crocheting and fun. Knit N' Yarn meets every Monday and Thursday from 1 to 3 pm and the third Tuesday of each month at 6 pm. Donations of full or partial skeins of yarn are always welcome.

Michigan Activity Pass (MAP)

Important things to remember:

1. When you print out a MAP pass, you have 7 days to use it.

2. Please note that if you choose to print your MAP pass on a library printer, you may be charged the regular fee that is assessed by the library for printing.

3. Copies of MAP passes will not be accepted at 

museums. Only passes printed from the MAP website can be redeemed at MAP destinations.

4. Prior to your visit, please call ahead or check the museum's website in order to verify hours of operation, etc.
