Thursdays at 6 p.m. Cheryl Meadors, certified yoga instructor, leads a class at the library every Thursday. This class is appropriate for beginning to intermediate yoga students. Just bring a yoga mat, water, and the $10 participation fee. Fifty percent of proceeds benefit the Bridgman Library

  • Work Day on April 28, 11:00 am-1:00pm. All Gardeners are encouraged to come and help prepare the garden for spring planting. We will be weeding all beds, putting more dirt/compost into low beds, and cleaning up the compost area. The garden has some tools and gloves, but if you can, please bring shovels, wheelbarrows, small hand tools, or a rototiller.

We plan to accomplish some of the list:

Weeding beds

Adding soil to low beds

Take before & after photos (library camera)

  • wheelbarrow/5gal buckets/garden cart for moving soil and weeds

  • shovels

  • Rakes

  • Hand rake

  • Gloves

  • Repair compost gate (pliers tools and gloves)

  • Install water hoses

  • Install water gun sprayer

  • Use peat moss & straw in garden bed

  • Organize tomato cages, recycle broken

  • Weed community garden herb beds

This group does these projects because of a desire to give someone 'knitted love'. The group welcomes anyone who does needle crafts of any kind. It doesn't matter your level of expertise, beginner or master or no experience at all, the members would be happy to welcome you. So come join the gals for some knitting or crocheting and fun. Knit N' Yarn meets every Monday and Thursday from 1 to 3 pm and the third Tuesday of each month at 6 pm. Donations of full or partial skeins of yarn are always welcome.
